Welcome to CalliopeWP. By browsing our website, purchasing our premium licenses, or using our free plugins available on the WordPress repository, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our software.

1. Plugin Licensing

Our plugins are built for the WordPress ecosystem and follow its standard licensing models:

  • GNU General Public License: All CalliopeWP plugins, including both free and premium versions, are released under the GNU Public License version 2.0 (or later). This guarantees your freedom to use, modify, and distribute the software.
  • Pro License Keys: While the code itself is GPL, access to premium support and automatic updates requires a valid, active license key. License keys are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
  • License Restrictions: You may not share or resell your personal license key. We reserve the right to suspend or revoke license keys if we detect unauthorized sharing or abuse of our update servers.

2. Support Policy

We are committed to helping you succeed with our plugins, but we maintain specific boundaries to ensure quality support for all customers:

  • Scope of Support: Support covers installation, configuration, and fixing confirmed bugs within our plugins. We do not provide general WordPress training or custom development services.
  • Third-Party Conflicts: While we try to build our plugins to strict WordPress standards, we cannot guarantee compatibility with every third-party theme or plugin. We are not responsible for fixing issues caused by badly coded external software.
  • Active License Required: Priority technical support via our ticketing system is exclusively available to customers with a valid and active Pro license.

3. Software Updates

Keeping your software updated is crucial for security and performance:

  • Automatic Delivery: Updates are delivered automatically through the standard WordPress dashboard for active license holders.
  • Expired Licenses: If your license expires, the premium plugin will continue to function normally, but you will lose access to future updates, security patches, and official support.

4. Refund Policy

We want you to be confident in your purchase, which is why we offer a straightforward refund policy:

  • 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If our premium plugin does not work as advertised or you experience an unresolvable technical issue, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your original purchase.
  • Condition for Refunds: We ask that you reach out to our support team first to give us a chance to solve your issue. Refunds are not granted for change of mind or missing features that were never advertised.

5. Limitation of Liability

Please read this section carefully, as it limits the legal liability of CalliopeWP regarding the use of our software.

  • Software is Provided "As Is": Our plugins are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied. We do not guarantee that our plugins will function perfectly on all server configurations or in combination with all third-party software.
  • No Liability for Data Loss: Under no circumstances shall CalliopeWP be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our plugins. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of business, or server downtime. It is your responsibility to maintain regular backups of your WordPress site.

6. Third-Party Services & APIs

Our plugins (such as Calliope Social Publisher) interact heavily with external services:

  • API Changes: We rely on the official APIs of third-party platforms (like Facebook, LinkedIn, Bluesky, etc.). If a platform changes its rules, restricts access, or modifies its API, it may break plugin functionality. We will work diligently to restore functionality, but we cannot be held responsible for changes made by external companies.
  • Compliance with Networks: When using our plugins to publish content, you are responsible for complying with the respective Terms of Service of each social network or third-party platform.

7. Modifications to Terms

CalliopeWP reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Your continued use of our plugins after changes become effective implies your agreement to the updated terms.
